Do you want to raise awareness of an environmental issue to create change?
My Planet My Voice is a series of workshops, events and projects that will enable people to explore ways they can express their environmental concerns to policy makers and inspire others to take action. The workshops have been made possible due to a successful bid to the Lush Community Fund.
The project is supporting people to use song, poetry, art, traditional letter writing, video and other creative means to help us to express how we feel about the challenges we and our planet face – and to call for change.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus we have been looking at ways of adapting the project to meet the challenges of lockdown.
Now is not the time to write to your MP, councillor or to business leaders – instead it is time to support and work with others for the greater good. Where possible we can use this lockdown to reflect on the things that matter most to us. You can get involved through My Planet My Voice – through journal writing and photography
- Take a photo for My Planet My Photo – and help us raise £100.
- Start journaling about life during the coronavirus outbreak as part of My Planet My Journal.
We can all make positive changes in our life to use less of the Earth’s precious resources. But, for the long-term future of our planet, change is needed at a higher level – through governments and organisations.
When the time is write to resume letter writing you can find out more about influencing people through our letter writing guide.
Please do get in touch if you are interested in hosting a My Planet My Voice event as we would love to hear from anyone who is keen to add their creativity to the project.
